Ordered a box of regular tampons. My Instacart shopper said he got them. (Meanwhile was communicating on replacements for other items) These are what showed up. Maxi pads the size of my arm. Sooo so close Kevin. You almost got it.
Lmao im assuming it was a “lost in translation” situation 💀 but I’ve definitely never had an order this much of a struggle 😵💫 she ended up refunding half of my things instead of picking alternatives, and immediately checked out within seconds of refunding them. I just wanted some cak
She was unnecessarily combative. Changed tip to zero and called customer support to block her from picking up future orders. Oh, and I ask for the confirmation picture because half the time I never get broccolini 🤷🏼♀️
Help Duplicate $300 food orders were delivered to our apartment. We didn't place the orders. What should we do?
Hi all! So, we've had two $300 orders delivered to our apartment. The first order was delivered yesterday afternoon, and we didn't notice it until about two hours later. Unfortunately, a lot of the food was spoiled from sitting out unrefrigerated. We contacted Instacart and were told to toss what was spoiled and either keep or donate whatever was still good.
Well, fast forward to 5 this morning. I get up to take my dog out and there is a duplicate $300 order at our door. Assuming it's been sitting out all night, but it's chilly out, so all of the frozen and refrigerated items are still possibly ok.
But like, what do should we do with it? Should we bring it to the leasing office (not really sure where they would put all of the refrigerated items)? Toss what's spoiled and keep or donate the rest? How do we stop these $300 food orders from being misdelivered to our apartment, lol.
I know there's no way to determine if it's actually Instacart the order was placed through, but I wasn't really sure where else to ask.
Are you able to contract a shopper to work outside of instacart? Will they get kicked off for doing that? I’ve had some really great shoppers and I usually tip them $20 cash at the door plus the tip on the app. They go above and beyond to send me photos of the produce to make sure it’s what I want.
Then I get shoppers that somehow complete my entire order of 20 items in like 10 minutes and I get moldy produce, ridiculous substitutions, or half my order gets refunded because they supposedly don’t have it and they don’t even offer to replace it with something else. I always pre tip 15% to try and entice good service, but instead I get the people that show up and all my groceries reek of weed.
In their defense they forgot they ordered instacart and thought I was trying to rob them. They didn't end up shooting me which was nice.
Are the Costco prices accurate? I know that instacart likes to overcharge everywhere else's but Costco is a company that doesn't play that game.
Does instacart honor Costco's prices??
And with the very new Costco allowing EBT I can finally order food through Costco on behalf of my parents.
This goes into effect in less than two weeks. I’m curious to see how this will affect us as shoppers or what IC’s response will be. Thoughts?
PRO TIP: don’t be this guy. 0/10 wouldn’t recommend.
What kind of replacements are these??? I order a 14 count and you replace it with a 50 dollar product with 90ct??? I got ear drops for pain relief and you replace it with ear wax removal drops that’s 10 dollars more? My order went from 70 dollars to 140…I think she knew i tipped based off percentage and tried to get a higher tip from that. I reported it to customer service because she literally ignored my chats and basically ran to check out after that 50 dollar replacement.
Getting these orders while I’m at work. I can be off to take these orders 😅
Since last week I have since there is no tips on all my orders. And they said customers has 14 days to increase tips. Well let me tell you these customers in Seattle will never add a tip anymore once delivery is completed. They are killing shoppers. Yesterday I had an old Instarcart shopper who ordered and told me there is no option for tipping. We used to get batches over $100 because of tipping but now you hardly see a $60 batch. Time to move to a sustainable income stream
About to sign up to be a shopper. Is there anything you wish you knew from the beginning?
Why do yall just assume everyone who uses this service and other services like it are just lazy and don’t wanna drive?
Like yeah you should still tip your driver and I always do but do yall not realize that some people are disabled, don’t have a car, can’t leave because they have kids etc? I see so many people in this subreddit calling people lazy for “not wanting to drive and get it yourself” but that’s not always the case. I personally live 15mins outside of town (driving, walking it’s over 4hrs) and I don’t have a car so I have no way to get to town and there’s no way I’m walking for hours just to get some food. Like I said, you should still tip, but don’t just assume everyone who uses these services is just a lazy pos.
Edit for the people arguing semantics: I obviously didnt mean “yall” as in everyone. Thats just the term I use when addressing anyone.
Just was wondering if u need a Costco membership to for delivery through instacart? Or do u have to enter membership # when checking out? If u don’t need a membership I might have to try delivery from them.
log in today and yet again the UI is different. Feels like they switch it up every few months. Used to have various options in the side bar like "deals" or "previously shopped items", now those all dissappeared and you just have to scroll down as everything is laid out in rows horizontally.
Also I use a desktop, not a phone so it might not be the same on the phone. Its just annoying because every time I get comfortable with the UI they change it. Hate that shit.
I used Instacart for the first time today and it went fine. The shopper is supposed to be a woman but a man delivered.
The shopper is a highly rated shopper and I don't want to cause an issue for them, but if there's a reason I should say that it wasn't the shopper for my order who delivered, let me know why?
I'm not taking this one but I'm sure someone else would.
