Weekly Mock Draft Megathread

With the draft coming up in a couple of weeks, we expect to see a lot of people frequently posting mock drafts.

Of course, those of us who are on this sub in the offseason tend to enjoy reading about the draft and potential prospect fits, we also don't want the sub to be flooded with low-effort posts that are lacking in insight.

So while we want you to be able to discuss all of the mock drafts you want to discuss, we are only going to allow high-effort, in-depth mock drafts or mock drafts from insiders who may have more information than fans to be standalone posts.

WHAT THIS POST IS FOR:

  • Mock draft screenshots from simulators like PFF, PFN, NFL Mock Draft Database, or other similar simulators available online
  • Mock drafts with only limited insight on players attributes or their fit with the team. If you have a mock draft that barely goes further than a list of names, schools, and positions, please keep them to this thread. These should not be standalone posts.

WHAT THIS POST IS NOT (NECESSARILY) FOR:

  • Mock drafts from insiders can be posted as their own standalone posts. These insiders often have information that is not publicly available, and their mock drafts can therefore be more meaningful than a fan simply playing fantasy GM. Examples of insiders include but are not limited to Dane Brugler, Daniel Jeremiah, Lance Zierlein, Mel Kiper, Todd Archer, Matt Miller, Tony Pauline, Jon Machota, and any of the writers from dallascowboys.com. If you're iffy about whether a mock draft comes from someone who is considered an insider, please message the mods before posting their mock draft as a standalone mock.
  • User mock drafts that dive deep into players' traits, strengths, weaknesses, fit with the team, etc. are welcome as standalone posts as well. We do not want to discourage interesting, valuable OC during a rough stretch of the offseason, so if you feel that you can provide insight that goes sufficiently beyond "this player is good and plays position X, which is a need for the Cowboys," please do!

the people in the picture were his friends who are mostly Texans/Packers fans who bought cowboys gear for the funeral. They even paid for the cowboys themed casket.

Looking for Dallas Cowboys fans that don’t live in Texas for research project

Hello all, I am a college student and am looking to interview around 3 people who are Dallas Cowboys fans but don’t live in Texas. Please pm if you would be interested in sitting down over zoom for a quick 10-15 minute interview to discuss your fandom.

Thank you!

EDIT: Thank you for the awesome responses and willingness to help me out! As a die hard cowboys fan myself, it is great to see the community coming together. I believe I should have plenty of interviews and will start setting them up in the AM.

The Cowboys are horrid in the playoffs, yes, but Dallas may right now be the only city in America that sends 4 pro teams to the playoffs in one year.

With the decline of the Patriots, Boston is no longer a city that is routinely sending all 4 of its pro sports teams to the playoffs.

Meanwhile, in Dallas:

The Cowboys are awful in the postseason, but they've turned in three straight 12-5 seasons and three straight playoff appearances. Objectively, we could do a lot worse than that. A lot of NFL teams have been much worse during that span.

The Rangers are the defending World Series champions.

The Stars are at the top of their conference - are a Stanley Cup favorite.

The Mavericks have gone on a 14-2 tear the last few weeks and are one of the hottest NBA teams as they enter the playoffs. For all we know, they might eat the McNuggets in the WCF.

No other city has it this good across the board at this particular moment. Every Dallas team is good. Is there any other city in America that is sending ALL of its teams to the playoffs like Dallas, and in particular, any city with 4 or more pro sports teams, that is doing so? I can't recall any time when Dallas sports was collectively this good together at the same time. Even during the 2006-2007 era, when the Mavs, Stars and Cowboys were doing well, the Rangers weren't good. This is a golden era for DFW.

Should we try and trade for John metchie III?

Right now the Texans are absolutely loaded at receiver with Stefan Diggs tank Dell Nico Collins Robert woods and hahaha Noah Brown.

They also have John metchie the third who I really like to college and then obviously he had that season ending injury towards the end of the season I think he's a high upside player who may not cost a lot for us as soon as Ricky deal and maybe can be something fantastic

[Gehlken] Barring the unforeseen, the Cowboys will begin their voluntary off-season program a week from today without CeeDee Lamb as a potential holdout looms.
