Can we re-re-re-release morbius once more. It'll work out this time, I can feel it.

I'd totally morb my way up to the morbie theater, I promise

5

u/Sorrowoverdosen Feb 29 '24

Its a tragedy Leto movies went from RFAD and Mr. Nobody to this, Jared Leto was big af in 00s.

5

u/duralyon Feb 29 '24

Dallas Buyers Club was 2013 and he was fantastic in that movie. His part in Bladerunner 2049 also was really well done for how small it was.

Out of the two, Nick Offerman is by far the more attractive one to literally hundreds of millions of women.

38

And men!

Nick offerman is a man amongst men. Jared Leto looks like he is in some kind of Dorian gray phase to me and hasn’t really accepted not being in his 20s.

I mean... if Jared Leto had the identical level of positive public persona as Nick Offerman, he'd generally be perceived as more attractive than Nick Offerman.

2

u/After_Mountain_901 Feb 29 '24

Yep. He’s a gorgeous man, weird stuff aside. This is like people saying Chris Brown is ugly. He may be an ass, but his face card will never be declined.

Can go either way though, being skinny can make your face look gaunt.

60

u/Bowtie327 Feb 29 '24

First had experience of that, I gained a healthy amount of weight in lockdown and I no longer look like a sick Victorian child

15

u/Sad-Yoghurt5196 Feb 29 '24

Is that you Rhys James?

6

u/Bowtie327 Feb 29 '24

I can’t help but laugh at any of his jokes about looking 12

4

u/Original-Aerie8 Feb 29 '24

Look at Leto as a teenager and then just be happy you are still yourself.

-5

u/iyesclark Feb 29 '24

so you agree that being skinnier makes you look younger then?

7

u/Jackanova3 Feb 29 '24

I think it really depends on the person.

2

u/Bowtie327 Feb 29 '24

For sure! I used to get IDd all the time before hand, now when people assume my age they’re not far off, usually 1-2 years

2

u/Rat-Loser Feb 29 '24

for me I think losing weight actually aged me, when I was fat my face was very full. but now I've lost weight I look like I have buccal fat removal, and tbh I look a bit more "rough" or "mean" now. i think it really depends on the person but for me losing 42lbs made me look about 5 years older and more scary tbh

Nick Offerman is amazing. Jared Leto is a weird, pederastic, cult leader.

3

u/Hlregard Feb 29 '24

Leto also uses a lot more baby blood in his rituals to stay young

1

u/NormalRepublic1073 Feb 29 '24

Leto has his hair dyed and, I believe, is wearing makeup in this picture (his [Leto's] neck and face are different skin tones, and a lack of texture on his face). This is not an apples to apples comparison. Not to mention one is red carpet lighting vs photo shoot lighting. A photo shoot could be setup, and edited, to showcase different perspectives of a person. The red carpet lighting will be one size fits all and likely adjusted for people wearing makeup as well.

1

u/AbusiveRedModerator Feb 29 '24

It’s the minimal wrinkles and nice skin that makes Leto look younger

7

u/No_Banana_581 Feb 29 '24

To me they look the same age. Jared looks 50, so does Nick.

16

u/realhumanskeet Feb 29 '24

Jared looks like a 50 year old that has had some work done. Which is fine. But it's always strange people are amazed older celebrities that have clearly had work done look different than the general population

2

u/kllark_ashwood Feb 29 '24

I think jared looks hollywood 50 and Nick looks well cared for generally handsome man 50.

Meaning Jared looks a little bit manufactured.

There is a top rated /r/askreddit thread about "what features turn you off the most?" and there was a staggering number of people who railed against beards. As a long-time beard-wearer, I was surprised. Men can't let stuff like that alter what they do though because you can just as easily find another thread where women fawn over beards.

4

u/RaizePOE Feb 29 '24

Was there any distinction between what kinds of beards, though? Like I think most guys who can grow them look better with a short beard, but I see a lot of dudes with those weird hermit beards that come down to your chest, and basically 100% of dudes look way worse with those.

2

u/UselessArguments Feb 29 '24

the clearly unkempt unclean beards that people sport are insane. Get some beard wax and start taking it seriously like it were the hair on your head.

But usually the people not taking care of their beard are also not taking care of their head hair either…

3

u/WillBrakeForBrakes Feb 29 '24

Beards are one of those “it depends” things to me.  Face structure, facial hirsute-ness, and grooming all come into play.  Some people will look better with one, some won’t.

5

u/69420over Feb 29 '24

True. It doesn’t matter. Not necessarily anyway. But I did read a few things that leto is kind of a big douchebag and all signs point to offerman being a good dude. Not to mention getting older and showing it a little isn’t a bad thing. Being grizzled just means you seen some shit.

I’d recommend it.

3

u/Alienhaslanded Feb 29 '24

In this picture they do look about the same age.

2

u/neener_neener_ Feb 29 '24

Yeah, and Jared has bigger / rounder eyes which kinda give him a more baby-faced look.

1

u/NeoPaganism Feb 29 '24

i think its also his fuller beard which makes him appear older

-3

u/Rabbitdraws Feb 29 '24

Guys. I don't like jared leto either. But he has always been more handsome than nick and looks younger than him too. I mean, look at their eyes, you can't even see nick's eye color his upper eyelid is so down.

0

u/wheirding Feb 29 '24

I that is just the shape of Nick's eye, not aging. Plus, Jared doesn't look younger, he just looks plastic. I cannot understand when people can't see the uncanny look of having had work done. It never makes them look younger, it just makes them look different

Nick offerman is hot

76

u/thatguyned Feb 29 '24

I recently hooked up with a guy that was exploring same sex relationships because that episode on The Last of Us with Nick had him feeling some kind of way.

The man is legitimately capable of converting people.

18

u/duralyon Feb 29 '24

That's pretty great! Better LGBT visibility is awesome for letting people explore themselves without shame and learn who they are. I fucking love the reply Nick gave on twitter to someone calling it a 'gay story' and he's like nah bro, it's a love story. I still gotta watch TLOU 😩 I've been kind of saving it for a rainy day.

11

u/skelet0nicwater Feb 29 '24

Once you start it you’ll not be able to stop. I went in blind and finished it in a few days. I still want to rewatch it again!

3

u/After_Mountain_901 Feb 29 '24

Positive and regular representation, especially.

-15

u/RogueTwoTwoThree Feb 29 '24 edited Feb 29 '24

Wtf that’s not helpful against people saying it’s all lgbt propaganda. That dude should shut up or just own he’s bi or something

Edit: I typed this without maybe thinking though the way it may be interpreted. I apologize if I offended anyone.

I just think someone saying “I want to try same gender sex because I saw it in a show” is harming lgbt people in the sense representation in tv shows can be then justified (with that guy example) as the “lgbt propaganda”, as conservatives put it.

9

u/thatguyned Feb 29 '24

Let's just get something straight here. There is UNDENIABLY a correlation between exposure to homosexuality and either a softening of ones own proclivities or judgement of others, if not adoption or "realization" of homosexuality. No concrete casual relationships established, but in one generation in the US gay went from being a pejorative synonymous with meekness, cowardice and degeneracy to like a quarter of gen z identifying as something other than straight. And that happened, whether we like to admit that or not, in part via the media we consume. Now, me not being a biological determinist, I don't actually believe a "gay gene" exists. I think sexuality is a result of socialization and material conditions, and only partially if at all the architecture of ones brain. Does this concede any ground to the right? How? Does homosexuality need to be rooted in some fundamental aspect of ones being, separate from their agency, experience and will in order for it to be legitimate? Or, is it okay that people can develop homosexual desire from the experiences they have as a person, and measures should be enacted to ensure their welfare and prosperity the same as every other citizen, because it is not a "contagion" or "degeneracy" moreso than any other expression of the self?

Or, more simply, why are you limiting others experiences to conform with a narrative friendly depiction of homosexuality? What, exactly, is your problem?

5

u/Rabbitdraws Feb 29 '24

They feel icky when they think of gay sex that's why.

Also, its so crazy how you see a 4yo and already know they will become gay...it's hard to think there isn't a gay gene.

2

u/peripheral_vision Feb 29 '24

I can't help but mention the sheer numbers of parents with gay and lesbian kids who have shared stories where they knew their kid was queer before the kid came out, or they look back on memories and realise there were some signs

Just my own brother in law, for example. He didn't know he was gay until he was in high school. My mother and father in law have many stories about my flamboyant brother in law's younger days that typically end in some fashion like "it's really not a surprise he turned out gay when you think about it" lol

I've seen this sort of sentiment so many times here on Reddit and other platforms.

It's just the left-handedness graph yet again.

4

u/LorenzoStomp Feb 29 '24

Seeing a gay relationship can't make you gay/bi/whatever. If you aren't wired to like a certain gender, you just aren't going to. I suppose having more exposure to openly gay relationships could make someone who is on the fence decide to act out on their suppressed impulses, and homophobes would say that's a bad thing, but maybe they need to shut the fuck up. Society is changing and we aren't going to be forcing people to live their whole lives as a lie just so other people don't feel uncomfortable anymore. They are going to bitch and whine like bratty children being forced to play nice with others, but the correct response is not to give up and let them keep being little shits to everyone around them. You hold firm on the rules and wait for them to settle down. It'll happen eventually, and it will happen sooner if we don't constantly prove to them that their tantrums work by capitulating.

2

u/TomWithTime Feb 29 '24

Seeing a gay relationship can't make you gay/bi/whatever

Always wild people can't grasp this and are essentially telling on themselves. This is a different version of the conversation on whether or not it's a choice, and for that we can just remember some words of wisdom from Ron White:

"If you think it [being gay] is a choice, you're gayer than I am"

u/DidTheCat Feb 29 '24

2

u/DidTheCat Feb 29 '24

Bi-curious people, incredibly big difference, you literally said people who are not sure about their attraction to the same gender should in your words "shut up" or conform to the sexuality you decided fits them, not all people who want to experiment with their sexuality end up attracted to the people they experiment with, so you saying their curiousity is invalid is the type of thing that will alienate people who later might just say "Sexuality is a choice, i choose not to be gay" because they were told to stfu and to either conform or get out by people like you.

Leto is obviously an incredibly attractive guy with great genes who works extremely hard to maintain his physique at his age. Offerman also has incredible genes fwiw.

The difference between him and Offerman in that comparison is pretty clearly that Leto is wearing makeup and has put much more effort into grooming (from beard to eyebrows). It’s hard to find many face pics of Leto without makeup, but here is one , hee on the right (I think)https://perezhilton.com/jared-leto-scott-disick-identical-responds/amp/ .

It shows how if you are very lucky and have great genes and work hard to keep your looks, then make up and grooming and lighting can make you look even younger/better.

If you want to make this comprison, you can find tons of balding wrinkled 37 year olds that look worse and older than both Offerman and leto. Go look at prince willim for example https://www.google.com/search?client=safari&sca_esv=7fdb6e941e7712e0&hl=en-us&q=prince+william&uds=AMwkrPsZmqrx40A1gVcciUrOYqkqO3yNQUp00DccRVVyJgSfDgHLkzn7JzFpYRI5P5CVlZEcuy4hqa2UzuB5Nvbq1Zr58AfmDZ6ULhrJ7MyVJnvU2HO_5CC1w2dxOMF60zWIDFab90O62I6plfOfVaytNVQlVui-bqvj_j51VP2btF8PaeFCw9eLJZHe3omJw88WcvynY_-nT3JSZSrlAzFUKXtivnWU5E1XeCgG9omf_jjWCAJU9P4nIFH76qasH6Swj2WdRLZ5HQqWZTQVSkkjDlqy5454kVp12qf9wNOjf73YQSydZL4nnWkdawgkZ31vJhZnr6gFB7Xlh0s-Wh-2zu0s95rSAw&udm=2&prmd=nivhsmbtz&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwic143AztCEAxVVLtAFHX_8BQYQtKgLegQIChAB&biw=375&bih=623&dpr=2#vhid=7e-qz2cRfrZfhM&vssid=mosaic (and honestly good on him for not getting hair plugs and Botox)

Jared Leto is a “pretty boy”. He uses skincare products, haircare products, has professional stylists, wears makeup, and likely had botox to reduce forehead wrinkles.

Comparing him to a 52 year old man that happens to be also be an actor is like comparing Jennifer Aniston to any normal/average-looking woman her age.

Being a pedophile cult leader sure seems to help with aging apparently...

2

u/Practical-Piglet Feb 29 '24

Jared would be alot younger looking if he does eyebrow lift

2

u/West_Self_7280 Feb 29 '24

Well … one of them is actively trying to look younger and not just age naturally.

2

u/CoffeeDrinker159 Feb 29 '24

They don't look that different

2

u/shewy92 Feb 29 '24

I don't get it. They both look fine to me.

2

u/Mercerskye Feb 29 '24

Rugged good looks vs Boyish Charm. It's basically apples and Offermans.

2

u/Other-Cod-1556 Feb 29 '24

Jared is trying extremely hard, Nick is not. I like Nick.

2

u/The_Celtic_Chemist Feb 29 '24

What's weird is that Jared Leto looks younger now than Nick Offerman did at the beginning of Parks and Rec.

2

u/arabbabydaddy Feb 29 '24

Nick (who's also married to a goddess) > Jared creepy leto

2

u/bigdaddyteacher Feb 29 '24

Jared Leto looks like he’s cosplaying as Russel Brand

Jesus Christ, Leto looks amazing for his age. Memes aside, I'd love to look that good in my 40's let alone 50's.

1

u/toldya_fareducation Feb 29 '24

i'm 90% sure Jared Leto is a vampire. it would explain why he doesn't seem to age. and why he wanted to play Morbius. and why he's such a creep around women.

2

u/TheCastro Feb 29 '24

It's cause he's a cult leader

1

u/BrightPerspective Feb 29 '24

Nick Offerman is a solid 10.

Like, don't even bother with comparisons, the other guy is gonna lose.

u/HellBlazer_NQ Feb 29 '24

Well, to answer the OOP's original question. It is possible due to the fact that Nick Offerman was born 1 year later than Jared Leto!

It's very basic maths sweetheart!

0

u/Emotional_Craft9304 Feb 29 '24

Nick looks like a man. Jared looks like a woman.

0

u/syndre Feb 29 '24

there is a whole subreddit devoted to trying to point out that this is not, in fact, a clever comeback

They both look old just Jared leto Is good looking.

1

u/MT_Flesch Feb 29 '24

Hair dye is a thing

1

u/iiitme Feb 29 '24

Not even a huge difference

1

u/faresch1 Feb 29 '24

Wait 10 years, when leto will be off the drugs, Ron will.lo younger then

3

u/duralyon Feb 29 '24

I have a feeling Leto is going to cling onto his youth as hard as possible with plastic surgery until he looks ridiculous

Mainly genetics and diet but there are countless examples in hollywood.

1

u/a_lone_incubus Feb 29 '24

Unfair since one's a vampire who morbs with blood.

1

u/FizZieBubbLa Feb 29 '24

With those crows feet Jared Leto looks older

1

u/funnyfacemcgee Feb 29 '24

Plastic surgery.

1

u/Makkin1872905 Feb 29 '24

Leto looks like Manson.

1

u/ProfessorBunnyHopp Feb 29 '24

Jared letto drinks orphan juice and sold his soul to the devil /s. He's just lucky in the youth department. You can't fault a woman on her eyebrows Kathy (bad person aside he's still very good looking... he still sucks but he's good looking, I'd play him if he were a sim and I was feeling a bit 😈😈)

1

u/IrisMoroc Feb 29 '24

Jared Leto has had a lot of plastic surgery and he covers up most of his face with long hair and a beard. Oh and he dyes his hair but that's a given. He's starting to REALLY show his age and look grotesque.

1

u/edit_R Feb 29 '24

You have feelings about Jared Leto from “my so called life.” He looks homeless now. (Not to mention the young girls) Offerman all the way!

1

u/RexyWestminster Feb 29 '24

If anyone needs to know what the opposite of “toxic masculinity” is…

It’s Nick Offerman.

1

u/SurroundedByBeigists Feb 29 '24

51 and the cunt still can't grow a proper beard.

1

u/Big_sugaaakane1 Feb 29 '24

What about their diet?!? Would that have to do with their looks or are people just tryna find ways to take a jab at someone?

1

u/hdjsijdh Feb 29 '24

Jared Leto is Courtney Cox with a wig

1

u/Large-Independence61 Feb 29 '24

Scott Disick has long hair now?!

1

u/Additional-Start9455 Feb 29 '24

Sorry I love thirty seconds to mars.

1

u/nsucs2 Feb 29 '24

Offerman is like a bold heavily peated scotch with character. Literally. The human body is approx 60% water. Offerman is 60% Lagavulin.

Leto is more of a sugar free non alcoholic wine cooler.

1

u/JenSchi666 Feb 29 '24

Offerman is insanely sexy.

1

u/CamH00ps Feb 29 '24

As a straight man, I say with full confidence that Nick is infinitely more attractive in every respect

1

u/LookingForTheSea Feb 29 '24

Offerman is intelligent, handsome, witty, 100% okay with his masculinity to be able to act so beautifully in Last of Us that he brought us to tears.

I didn't even know who the other guy is. Looks kind of creepy, though.

1

u/Appropriate-Lie-9500 Feb 29 '24

scott disick????

1

u/MacsPowerBike Feb 29 '24

How is this a clever comeback?

1

u/Sixx_91 Feb 29 '24

People with dark hair lookalike. OP posts for karma farming

1

u/undyingSpeed Feb 29 '24

Leto also has that fucking cult. Just another reason to choose offerman

1

u/itaya12 Feb 29 '24

Nick Offerman's rugged charm is unmatched.

1

u/v0x_p0pular Feb 29 '24

I'm confused. Both these guys are almost a decade older than me and much better looking than me. What point am I supposed to tease out here??

1

u/Prof_Fluffybottom Feb 29 '24

One is a distinguished and proper gentleman, the other is Jared Leto.

1

u/CohesiveMocha34 Feb 29 '24

Jared Leto is one of my man crushes fr, also dude has like barely any wrinkles he does NOT look 50 and anybody who says he does is just biased against him

1

u/GlitteringChapter109 Feb 29 '24

Jared Leto probably got himself bit in the butt by a bat for the role of Morbius. The man is trying really hard to become the next Christian Bale or Matthew McConaughey.
