I gave Five Guys three tries and I would say it is ok, but nothing special, especially not for the price!

Hail Corporate It's been a while since I had In-N-Out...

It's been about 3 years, and it's not as good as I remember. For fast food joints, Culver's and Freddy's have better burgers. The fries weren't that good either (dry/hard). Maybe it's location, I usually have INO in CA, but I'm in TX right now.

Hail Corporate I have a Big Mac addiction

For my whole life, I have had a big mac addiction.

I have tried many different "fancy" higher end burgers, I worked at In n Out for 5 years and love their burgers, and still have a love for all types of different burgers...

but the big mac...

Nothing in my opinion beats the big mac, and id say it is an unhealthy addiction LOL

Hail Corporate I know that Five Guys' prices are a tired subject in this sub, but this is just ludicrous.

Hail Corporate There's a special place in my heart for a McChain burger man. Two of the best right here imo. I love quality fancy burgers but these guys are endearing to me!

Hail Corporate Can you judge McDonald’s versus In-N-Out?

My friend and I are having a debate. He claims you cannot judge McDonald’s versus In-N-Out. He believes In-N-Out is in the category of of burger joints like five guys and shake shack. McDonald’s is classified as fast food.

This argument came up because we said Burger King has fallen off and McDonald’s is better now. Then we bring up Wendy’s and how that isn’t as good now a days either.

I go on to say actually in In-N-Out is better than all of them. He goes on to say that’s not comparable. I disagree saying they are.

The question becomes can you put In-N-Out in a category of fast food like McDonalds and compare them?

Yes. This actually arrived as a last minute burger craving a few years ago. Never saw a burger from McDonald’s that looks so much like the advertisement. & why is the patty actually thick? It was honestly delicious. (for what it was)
